Description

This is the official NSS Society App of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering. This app connects the member and non-member students to the upcoming events and notices regarding the NSS Society.

✓The app displays various upcoming events and camps for both NSS members and non- members.
✓The app displays the description of new notices and when clicked, takes you to the official notice by the Society and College.
✓Sends you a notification whenever a new event or notice is uploaded and takes you to the page of the same.
✓The app contains the About Us page which gives the brief description about the BVCOE NSS Society.
✓There are links to our Facebook page, Gmail page and YouTube page in the app where the user can contact us.
✓The app shows some of the photos of previous events that were successfully conducted by NSS Society under the Gallery displayed in the navigation drawer.
✓The user submits feedbacks about the app as well society by clicking the Feedback Form option in the navigation menu which will redirect him/her to the Feedback Form. The user can also contact us using the feedback form and can give us new suggestions on events, app or society.
✓Each member will be given a unique login account after their registration with the NSS Society using which they can log in into the BVCOE NSS App and can get updates on notices and events uploaded only for NSS members.

✓There is a guest user login option for non- members of NSS Society where the updates on notices and events for non-members of NSS will be uploaded.

About NSS:
National Service Scheme popularly known as NSS was launched in Mahatma Gandhi Centenary year 1969 and aimed to develop student’s personality through community service. The overall objective of National Service is education. This objective is attained through the service to the community.
National Service Scheme (NSS) is a permanent youth Program under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and funded by Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India in the ratio 5:7.

About BVCOE NSS:
In Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, New Delhi; NSS Unit had started in 2013. BVCOE NSS aims at developing a student’s personality through community service.
The cardinal principle of the NSS program is that it is organized by the students themselves, and both students and teachers through their combined participation in community service, get a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation-building.

About NSS Motto:
The motto or watchword of the NSS is “Not me but you”. It underlines that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society on the whole. This expresses the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other man’s point of view and also a consideration for fellow human beings.

Objectives of NSS:
The overall objective of NSS is Personality Development through the community service. The broad objectives of NSS are to:

✓ Understand the community in which they work.
✓ Understand themselves in relation to their community.
✓ Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in the problem-solving process.
✓ Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
✓ Utilize their knowledge in finding the practical solution to individual and community problems.
✓ Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities.
✓ Gain skills in mobilizing community participation.
✓ Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.
✓ Develop the capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters.
✓ Practice national integration and social harmony.
