CCVisApp

The app makes the APL faceplates of the user interface of the PCS7 available on mobile devices and thus ideally complements the permanently installed operator stations.

Going directly to the measuring point or an actuator in the system with a smartphone or tablet. Checking the process values ​​on the spot or directly monitoring the reaction of an actuator to a control command. The simplification of maintenance and commissioning that this makes possible are obvious.

Requirement:

Simatic PCS 7 is a process control system from Siemens and is required for using the app.
With OpenPCS7, SIMATIC PCS 7 offers an OPC UA server that can also be installed on an existing OS client. The server provides the entire data management that a normal OS client can access for OPC UA clients.

The server component of the app is installed on the PCS7 OS server.

The app itself supports Android and Windows 10.

A network connection from the mobile device to the OpenPCS7 server is therefore required from the respective location. Which path is used is transparent. Wireless connections via a cellular network or also via a dedicated Wi-Fi network are conceivable here.

The app supports the "Advanced Process Library" as a standard library from version 8.

No special configuration is required in the PCS7 project to use the app.
