Retro Games: Classic Arcade GAME
Every game is drawn with simple shapes and bold colours on a CRT-inspired screen, and every one is played with the same on-screen D-pad and buttons.
BOARD GAMES
Play against a built-in AI opponent, with three difficulty levels in each.
- Chess - full rules including castling, en passant, promotion, stalemate, the fifty-move rule and threefold repetition. The engine uses iterative deepening alpha-beta search with a transposition table, quiescence search and move ordering, so it plays a real game rather than shuffling pieces.
- Checkers - forced captures, multi-jump chains and king promotion.
- Reversi - positional evaluation and mobility, with exact endgame solving once few squares remain.
- Nine Men's Morris - all three phases: placing, moving and flying, with mill detection.
PUZZLE GAMES
- Drop Blocks - stack falling pieces to clear lines on an 8 x 16 field. Seven piece shapes mixing three, four and five cells, with a landing preview and a next-piece window.
- Gem Match - swap neighbouring gems to line up three or more. Chains multiply your score, and the board reshuffles itself when no moves are left.
- Number Merge - slide tiles together to combine matching numbers, with three undos per run.
- Minesweeper - three board sizes, a guaranteed safe first move, chain opening on empty squares, and one-tap clearing around completed numbers.
- Memory Match - twelve pairs of hand-drawn symbols, with a combo bonus for consecutive matches.
ARCADE AND ACTION
- Block Breaker - armoured bricks, four power-ups, multi-ball and a different brick layout every stage.
- Space Shooter - destructible bunkers, a bonus saucer and formations that speed up as their numbers thin.
- Sky Raider - vertical scrolling shooter with sine-wave formations, three weapon levels and a boss fight.
- Missile Guard - defend six cities from incoming missiles using chain explosions and a limited supply of interceptors.
- Snake - bonus food on a timer and new obstacles appearing as you level up.
- Road Hopper - hop lane by lane across traffic and floating logs before the clock runs out.
- Lunar Lander - manage gravity, fuel and tilt to touch down on multiplier pads over randomly generated terrain.
- Pong Duel - first to seven, with spin, shrinking paddles and an opponent that sharpens as it scores.
- Tank Duel - best of five in a symmetrical arena, with shells that bounce once off walls.
