WeatherSAT (해양기상위성방송)

WeatherSAT is the marine weather broadcast service (LRIT, Low Rate Information Transmission) reception system of Cheollian Satellite 2A (GK-2A, GEO-KOMPSAT-2A).

The mobile app is not intended to be used alone, but operates in conjunction with the WeatherSAT antenna and receiver via WIFI.

Through this, WeatherSAT can replace the WeatherFax service currently used on ships, and provides marine/weather information to users in color rather than black and white through mobile apps and monitors.

WeatherSAT receives information ‘24 hours a day, 365 days a year’ and operates in real time.
By receiving uninterrupted marine/meteorological information services, we prepare for accidents and disasters that may occur at sea and support safe navigation.

Additionally, since it uses a small tracking antenna, it can be installed in narrow spaces, so it has the advantage of being able to be installed on not only large ships but also small ships.

In addition, we provide diversity and convenience to users by providing digital broadcasting services such as images, emergency messages, forecasts, and text for marine/meteorological information, and are expanding through ongoing consultations.
