China eSIM: Shanghai & Beijing APP

China eSIM gets your phone ready for Shanghai Pudong, Beijing Capital or Shenzhen Bao'an before you leave home, so there is no physical China SIM card to hunt for on arrival. Buy a plan in the app, install the eSIM over home Wi-Fi, and switch the line on when you land; the plan's days start on its first connection in China.

Why a China eSIM:
• Plans with a Hong Kong or Singapore internet exit show it on the plan screen, along with the networks each plan uses
• Trip called off? An eSIM never installed and never used is refunded in full within 15 days of purchase
• Your US SIM and number stay on the phone as a second line; calls and texts follow your US carrier's roaming terms
• No US carrier daily roaming pass and no surprise bill after the trip
• 4G across the country and 5G where the plan and the area offer it; each plan lists the networks it uses
• Installing takes a couple of minutes and needs an internet connection, so do it at home before the flight

Where it works:
Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Xiamen. Adding Hong Kong or Macau to the itinerary? Separate Hong Kong and Macau plans are in the same app, so one account covers the whole trip.

How it works:
• Choose a China data plan and pay with Google Pay or card
• Install the eSIM by QR code or directly in the app; your phone must be eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked
• Turn on data roaming for the eSIM line when you land, and you are online

Plans:
China-only plans, Asia regional plans and global plans, from small plans for a short business trip to large plans for a month in China, lasting 1 to 30 days. An unlimited option is available: after the daily high-speed allowance is used, speed is reduced until the next day. Top up inside the app while the eSIM still has days left, no new QR code needed; an expired eSIM cannot be topped up, so you pick a new plan. Live usage tracking shows exactly what is left, and because the China eSIM works as a second line, your home number never changes.

Who it is for:
• Business travelers flying into Shanghai or Shenzhen for meetings, factory visits and the Canton Fair
• Tourists walking the Great Wall, the Bund and the Terracotta Army in Xi'an
• Students and teachers spending a semester in Beijing or Hangzhou
• Families visiting relatives across Guangdong and Fujian
• Travelers combining mainland China with Hong Kong and Macau
