Hector is a reminder app with a spine. Tell it what you need to do and when, in plain words, and it keeps after you — buzzing harder the longer you wait, not once and done. Ask someone you trust to hold you to it, and the reminder locks until you photograph proof it's done. Your partner, your boss, your friend: they text you the task the way they already do, and Hector turns it into a reminder for you — only from the people you name, and nobody else.

How Hector reads messages
Hector uses Android's notification access to read notifications. It only acts on the ones from the people you name in People; everything else is ignored and never leaves your phone. It never reads your messaging app directly, never asks for SMS permission, and verification codes never leave your phone. Each message from a named person is sent to Anthropic's AI model to be judged. Hector doesn't store the message; Anthropic doesn't train on it and deletes it within 30 days. Hector keeps only the task, the time, and who asked.

Hector is free for up to three people, for your first 200 reminders from their messages. Reminders you set yourself are free and unlimited, always. $4.99 a month removes the 200 limit, with a free first week. $9.99 a month removes the limit on people too.
