beFriend

beFriend is an app designed to bridge the difficulty of finding people in your area that you have similar interests to. The app isn't for dating but for forging friendships that will last. Not only can you sign up individually to find friends near you, you can sign up as a couple as well!

How does beFriend work?

beFriend presents you with a very simple interface and guides you through setting up your own profile. Your profile can consist of:

- Your interests
- Your occupation
- Your picture
- Your age
- Etc.

After setting up your profile, you will be able to specify the gender of friend you are looking for (or if you are a couple looking, you can specify the couples option). From there, you will be matched with other people in your area looking to make new friends. You can also change your preferences at any given time if you decide you might be looking for something different!

Whenever you beFriend someone that has also beFriended you, you will receive a notification that you've been matched. From here, you can choose to chat with the user from within the application to see if you may want to move forward with getting to know each other!
