Cordless: Bluetooth remote APP
Cordless turns your Android phone into a wireless keyboard, touchpad/mouse, media remote, and game controller for another device - your PC, laptop, tablet, TV box, or HTPC. It uses Android's built-in Bluetooth HID support, so your phone pairs like any ordinary Bluetooth keyboard or mouse - no extra software on the other device.
⚠️ COMPATIBILITY: Some Xiaomi phones (incl. Redmi and POCO) currently can't pair, due to a bug in the phone's own Bluetooth software - not in Cordless. See "Device compatibility" below.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Keyboard: a full on-screen keyboard with modifiers and a quick text-input bar.
- Touchpad: a smooth mouse pad with left, middle, and right buttons, two-finger scroll, and a scroll strip.
- Media & system keys: play/pause, volume, and other consumer controls.
- Remotes: build your own button layouts - a media remote, a presentation clicker, or app shortcuts.
- Gamepad: on-screen sticks, D-pads and buttons for PC and Android games.
- Custom layout editor: place buttons freely, pick shapes, sizes, colours, borders, and icons, and assign any keyboard, media, mouse or gamepad action.
- Themes: restyle your controls with built-in presets or save your own.
- Macros: record a sequence of key presses once and reuse it on any button.
- Backup & restore: export your whole setup to a file and bring it back any time.
HOW IT CONNECTS
Cordless uses the native Android Bluetooth HID device role, so the other device sees a standard Bluetooth keyboard, mouse, and gamepad. To connect the first time, open your computer or TV's own "Add a Bluetooth device" screen and pick your phone. After that, Cordless reconnects automatically. It works great with Windows and Android hosts.
USING THE GAMEPAD ON A COMPUTER
The gamepad connects as a standard Bluetooth controller. It works natively on Android. On Windows and macOS, most games only accept Xbox (XInput) controllers, so run it through Steam Input or a tool like x360ce, reWASD, or DS4Windows to present it as a virtual Xbox pad. This applies to generic controllers in general, not just Cordless.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- No internet access - Cordless doesn't even request the internet permission, so nothing you type or tap can ever leave your device.
- No ads. No trackers. No analytics. No account.
- Everything stays on your phone.
FREE, WITH AN OPTIONAL ONE-TIME UPGRADE
The free version gives you a fully working keyboard and touchpad - everything you need to control another device.
Cordless Pro is a single one-time purchase - no subscriptions, ever. It unlocks remote layouts, gamepad controls, the custom layout editor, themes, macros, backup & restore, and extra settings (sidebar, volume-button actions, and more). Buy it once and it is yours to keep.
DEVICE COMPATIBILITY
Some Xiaomi phones - including Redmi and POCO, which share the same MIUI/HyperOS software - currently can't pair, because of a bug in the phone's own Bluetooth software.
The sign: you start pairing from your computer, then the phone shows "Incorrect PIN or passkey." The computer may still look paired, but nothing works. The phone completes pairing and then its own Bluetooth rejects it a moment later. No app can fix this - it's in the phone's firmware, below what apps can touch. The same app pairs fine on other brands such as Samsung.
If you see this on a phone that is not a Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO, please report it so we can track which devices are affected.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Works on Android 10 and newer.
- The first pairing is started from the other device's own Bluetooth settings.
- Game consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch) are not supported - they reject standard Bluetooth controllers. Cordless targets PC and Android.
Cordless is for anyone who wants a keyboard, mouse and controller in their pocket - no dongles, and nothing leaving your phone.
