Fiddle: Chords & Setlists

Fiddle is a chord songbook for musicians and bands. Everything you add stays on your phone — the app works completely offline, with no accounts, no ads, and no tracking.

Song library
Search your songs and sort them alphabetically, mark favorites for quick access, add new songs by hand or edit existing ones.

Import songs
Bring in songs from your own files — Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, ChordPro, or plain text — or paste them directly into the app. Fiddle recognizes chords in the text and automatically splits a file that contains several songs; you always see a preview before saving.

Chords and key
The app recognizes chords in the song text and transposes it to any key. For capo use, it suggests the most convenient fret position. Choose between sharp and flat notation, and between "B" or "H" for the note.

Chord card
Tap a chord in the text and a card appears with a fingering diagram and the chord's sound.

Metronome
Set the tempo with tap tempo or manually, choose an accent on the first beat and a click sound. The metronome keeps playing even when the screen turns off, which is useful during a performance.

String and drum tuner
A built-in chromatic tuner listens through the microphone and helps you tune your instrument, with ready-made tunings for guitar (standard, Drop D, DADGAD), bass (4 and 5 strings), ukulele, and violin. A dedicated mode also guides you through tuning a drum lug by lug. Sound is only processed while you're listening — it is never recorded.

Setlists and performance
Arrange songs into a setlist, give each one its own key, capo, and tempo, and lock it when you don't want it to change by accident during a show. Performance mode shows large text with automatic scrolling, readable even from a distance.

Landscape view
On a wider screen, see the song text and the setlist side by side, with no switching between screens.

Live session
When every phone is on the same local Wi-Fi network, one band member leads the session and picks the song and its settings (key, capo, tempo) — everyone else sees the same thing instantly, with a shared metronome synced through the microphone. Everything stays within the local network, with no server and no internet involved.

Export and sharing
Export a song as text, ChordPro, or PDF, print it, or send a setlist or band profile through your phone's own share menu. Back up your whole library as a JSON file and later merge it into the library on another device.

18 languages
Fiddle works in 18 languages: Serbian (Latin and Cyrillic), English, Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, and Indonesian. The language is chosen automatically based on your phone's language and can be changed in settings at any time. A short tutorial on first launch walks you through the basics.
