Mobile SSH APP
TERMINAL
• VT100 / xterm-256color emulation, 5000 lines of scrollback by default and configurable.
• Up to 8 sessions on screen at once in a grid. Double-tap a pane to fill the screen, back to return.
• Search the scrollback, select and copy text, follow links, bracketed paste, mouse reporting.
• A key bar you arrange yourself: ESC, TAB, CTRL, ALT, arrows, Home/End, PgUp/PgDn and the rest.
• Choose the font (system monospace, JetBrains Mono, Source Code Pro) and the colours (Solarized dark and light, Gruvbox, Dracula, Nord, or follow the app theme).
• Terminal graphics over the Kitty protocol, including animations and virtual placements, so an image viewer or a full-screen program draws pictures instead of boxes.
• Prompt navigation for shells that emit OSC 133 marks, and a notification when a long command finishes.
TMUX, ZELLIJ AND HERDR
• Each has a page listing the servers, sessions, workspaces and tabs it can see, most recently used first.
• Attach from the list. The app reuses the SSH connection you already have, and opens one of its own when the pane is busy.
• One toolbar button opens whichever multiplexer you use on that server; long-press it for the others.
FILES
• Dual-pane SFTP browser: the phone on one side, the server on the other.
• Upload, download, rename, delete, create directories, edit a remote file in place.
• Permissions in rwx and octal, owner and group. Sort order is remembered per host, per pane.
• Share a file into Mobile SSH from Photos, Files or anywhere else and it is uploaded, with its remote path typed at the prompt.
REMOTE DESKTOP
• Open a graphical desktop from the terminal toolbar: one started for you on the server, or the screen the server is already showing. Linux and macOS.
• It travels inside the SSH connection, so nothing new is opened on your network.
• Keyboard, taps, drags and the clipboard go back the other way, and you can change the desktop's resolution from the viewer.
KEYS AND CONNECTIONS
• Generate an Ed25519, ECDSA (P-256/384/521) or RSA 3072/4096 key on the phone, or import one from a file or the clipboard.
• Saved servers and credentials, with several addresses per server for a machine you reach differently from home, the office and a VPN. The address that worked last is tried first.
• Local port forwarding.
• Auto-reconnect with backoff when the network changes, and a foreground service with wake and Wi-Fi locks so sessions survive the screen going off.
• The pane header says when what you typed has not reached the server, how long it has been silent, and how fast bytes are moving.
• An experimental Teleport transport for clusters behind a Teleport proxy.
AGENTS
• When a coding agent on the server stops and waits for you, it can raise a notification, vibrate, or play a tone through headphones only.
• An inbox lists every agent waiting on you, across every connection, and approvals can be answered with one tap.
BACKUP AND PLUGINS
• Export servers and credentials — all of them, or the ones you pick — to a file, encrypted with a passphrase if you give one. Import merges into what you have, or replaces it.
• Plugins from a public catalog run in the app and talk to your session.
Light and dark themes that follow the Android setting. A secure-screen option that blocks screenshots and screen recording. Anonymous usage analytics are on by default and can be turned off in Settings.
The app is translated into Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Marathi, Nigerian Pidgin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Tamil, Telugu, Turkish and Urdu.
Requires Android 8.0 or later.
