Ink Rush: Stroop Color Game GAME
The word says RED. The ink is BLUE. Which do you tap?
Ink Rush is a pure Stroop-effect focus game. A colour word flashes on screen, printed in a colour that never matches what it says — and you have to tap the INK, not the word. Your brain reads the word automatically. Beating it is the whole game.
One right answer and you're straight into the next round. One wrong tap and the run is over.
THE CLOCK CLOSES IN
Every round has a countdown, and every point you score makes the next one shorter. You start with three comfortable seconds. By the time you're deep into a run you have under a second to override an instinct — that's where the real focus training happens.
BUILT TO BE PICKED UP
A run takes seconds. Tap Play Again and you're back in instantly, no menus and no loading. Perfect for a queue, a commute, or a two-minute reset between tasks.
WHAT YOU GET
• Four colours, one rule: answer the ink
• A per-round timer that tightens as your score climbs
• Your best score, kept on your device
• Average reaction time after every run
• Haptic and sound feedback you can switch off
• A stark high-contrast dark theme built for fast reading
COMPLETELY OFFLINE
No account. No sign-in. No cloud. Ink Rush works in aeroplane mode and your scores never leave your phone.
FREE
Ink Rush is free and supported by ads. Ads appear on the menu screens only — never during a round, and never in the middle of a run.
ABOUT THE STROOP EFFECT
Naming the colour of a mismatched colour word is slower and more error-prone than naming a matching one. Psychologist John Ridley Stroop first documented this in 1935, and it has been a standard measure of selective attention and cognitive control ever since. Ink Rush turns that classic task into a game with a clock on it.
Note: Ink Rush is a game for entertainment. It is not a medical or diagnostic tool, and it does not assess or treat any condition.
Colours are shown alongside their names, so the game assumes you can tell the four colours apart — players with red-green colour vision deficiency may find some rounds difficult.
