Keep track of the food you have at home and plan what to use next. Before It Expires brings your pantry, package dates, quantities, and food waste into one place.

ADD YOUR GROCERIES
Enter purchases manually or scan a barcode. For an unfamiliar barcode, an online Open Food Facts lookup may suggest product details. Coverage varies, and you can always enter the details yourself.

CHECK DATES AND REMINDERS
Enter a package date or read one from a photo using on-device text recognition. Review and confirm the result: recognition can make mistakes. Local reminders help you remember items that need attention. Notification permission and Android settings affect delivery.

TRACK WHAT YOU USE
Record partial use, discarded food, quantity corrections, and storage locations. Add prices if you want to track waste values. Statistics keep different units and currencies separate.

YOUR PANTRY, OFFLINE
Core inventory management works offline without an account. Export a backup or preview and import a saved backup. Android may also back up app data according to your device settings. Optional product lookup needs internet access; Google SDKs may process technical data as explained in the privacy policy.

SET YOUR PREFERENCES
Choose language, market, date interpretation, number formatting, currency, and preferred units separately. US defaults include oz, lb, US fl oz, US gal, and USD. Metric units and counted items are also supported. Changing preferences does not convert or relabel existing quantities, dates, or prices.

Available interface languages: US, UK, Australian and Canadian English, German, Canadian French, and Polish.

Package dates and reminders are organizational aids, not a guarantee that food is safe. Check the food, storage conditions, and package instructions.
