Ember is a private, personal journal for your intimate life and, if you want it, your cycle. Ember is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or predict any medical condition. Cycle information is for personal awareness only and is not a form of contraception or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Ember is built around one idea: your private life is yours. There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and nothing about you is ever sold or shared without your say-so. It's a quiet, personal space — not a social network, not a competition, and not a couples app you're both forced to live inside.

Log moments, your way

Record intimate moments whenever you like, with as much or as little detail as you want. A moment can be a single tap, or you can add context — who it was with, how it felt, and optional notes only you can read. The form stays simple by default and reveals more depth only if you ask for it. Nothing is ever required.

Partners, on your terms

Create private partner profiles that live only in your own data — the other person never needs to know the app exists. If you both choose to, you can link with another Ember user through a one-time invite code. Linking unlocks private one-to-one chat, gentle "thinking of you" nudges, and optional sharing between just the two of you. Linking is always optional, always mutual, and can be undone at any time. Nothing about one partner is ever visible to another.

Optional cycle tracking

If it's useful to you, Ember includes a calmly designed cycle module: log periods, see estimated phases, and view a simple month calendar. You can keep this entirely to yourself, or share a summary with a linked partner so they have gentle awareness. Shared cycle information is view-only for the person receiving it, clearly attributed, and you can stop sharing whenever you want. Predictions are estimates for personal reflection, never medical guidance.

Gentle by design — no pressure, ever

Ember deliberately has no streaks, no goals, no badges, and no scores. There is nothing to "keep up," nothing to compare, and no way for anyone to be measured against anyone else. Nudges are low-stakes by design: a reply of "not tonight" carries exactly the same weight as a yes, and nobody sees response rates or statistics. Ember is meant to reduce pressure, not add it.

Built to be discreet

Ember opens behind a biometric or PIN lock every time. Push notifications use plain, generic text that never reveals what's inside. The app presents a neutral identity and defaults to a calm dark theme. What's private stays private — by default, not as an afterthought.

Privacy you can actually trust

Sensitive content — your notes and messages — is encrypted on your device before it's stored, using strong modern encryption. Everything is private by default. Sharing is opt-in for each link and each item you choose to share; your personal notes and private reflections are never shared with anyone. There are no analytics SDKs and no location tracking of any kind.

Because your content is encrypted on your own device for your privacy, please note that if you lose access to your device without a saved recovery method, encrypted content cannot be recovered. This is the tradeoff for keeping your data genuinely yours.

Ember is for adults who want a thoughtful, private way to reflect on their intimate life — solo or with a partner — without gamification, judgment, or surveillance. It works fully on its own, with or without ever linking to anyone.
