Janggi - Offline Korean Chess GAME
■ Play the computer
- Six levels, from Beginner to Master.
- The computer varies its first moves, so games don't repeat.
- The computer never resigns - it plays to the end.
- It doesn't keep you waiting (under 2 seconds a move, even at the top level).
■ Two players
- Put one phone between you and take turns.
- Sitting face to face? Flip the top pieces' characters.
■ Easy to play
- Unlimited undo. Against the computer, your move and its reply are taken back together.
- Every move is saved. A call or closing the app won't lose your game.
- Tap a spot you can't move to and see why (get out of check first, no third repetition, and so on).
- Warnings when bikjang is on or the move limit is near.
- Stuck? Ask for a hint.
■ Setups and rules
- Pick your setup and your opponent's (horse and elephant order), or a random computer setup.
- Play Cho (moves first) or Han (+1.5 points).
- Scoring: chariot 13, cannon 7, horse 5, elephant 3, guard 3, soldier 2. No draws.
- Pass, bikjang, repetition and move limits (100 or 200) follow the rules. Bikjang can be turned off.
- Results show why: checkmate, resignation or score.
■ Display
- Pieces in Chinese characters (車 包 馬) or Korean letters.
- Large pieces on a clear board. The selected piece gets a thick outline and legal moves show as dots.
- Your record by level.
