Makao – Polish card game

Makao as at the kitchen table: jacks demand, aces change the suit, twos, threes and the battle kings attack, and a four makes you wait. You play against the computer, offline too, and can stop whenever you like: the game saves itself. The app is in Polish.

✔ THE REAL POLISH RULES
Rules checked against Polish Wikipedia (which kurnik.pl points to), Wikibooks and sklep-pokerowy.pl. The app lets you play only what the rules allow, and when a card does not fit, it says why.
• A jack demands a rank from 5 to 10 — for the whole round, its player included
• An ace changes the suit for the next player
• The king of hearts attacks forwards, the king of spades backwards; defend with a two, a three or the other king
• A four: a wait that passes on
• The queen goes on anything, anything goes on the queen
• Makao and stop makao: forget it and you draw 5 cards

✔ YOUR HOUSE RULES
Where the sources differ, you choose: 7 cards instead of 5, jokers, a 2 on a 3 of the same suit, the queens of spades and hearts stopping a king, the queen on an ace. Every rule explained in the app, with the sources.

✔ PROVABLY FAIR DEALS
Before you see a card, the app shows a code. After the game it reveals the key that the deal and every reshuffle were computed from: if the key matches the code, the cards were fixed before anyone saw them. The computer never sees your cards — it knows only its own hand and what is on the table. Your statistics show it too: every player gets the same share of function cards.
