Match My Memories – A Matching Game Made Personal

Match My Memories (MMM) is a customizable memory matching game that turns your personal photos into a fun and familiar matching experience.

Designed for older adults and people experiencing Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory loss, or cognitive decline, MMM encourages recognition, reminiscence, conversation, and regular cognitive engagement through play.

Instead of matching only generic pictures, create your own personal photo matching game using photos of family, friends, pets, favorite places, foods, vacations, and meaningful objects.

Memories are connected to the people, places, objects, and experiences that make up our lives.

MMM provides a simple and enjoyable way to revisit those connections through regular play. Personal photographs can encourage recognition, storytelling, reminiscence, and conversation.

Create custom photo decks for yourself or share them with family members, friends, and caregivers.

The goal is simple: make memory activities familiar, personal, engaging, and fun—and share them!

Two Ways to Play

Cards Face Up:
All cards remain visible while you search for matching pairs. This provides a gentler experience with less reliance on remembering card locations.

Cards Face Down:
Play the traditional memory matching game. Flip two cards at a time, remember where you saw each picture, and find the matching pairs.

Play With the Included House Deck

MMM includes a 52-card House Deck featuring familiar everyday household objects. Cards use clear, recognizable images presented in calm, soft colors for a comfortable and uncluttered playing experience.

Create a Personal Photo Deck

The built-in Deck Builder lets you create a personalized matching game using up to 26 of your own photos.

Turn pictures of family, friends, pets, places, foods, vacations, and meaningful objects into matching cards.

Add information to each photo using text or speech input, including:

• Names of people, pets, places, or objects
• Personal descriptions and meaningful memories
• Categories such as People, Places, Pets, Things, Food, and more

Categories can be used to choose which types of photos are dealt into your matching game.

When you find a match, the card's name and description can be spoken using your phone's text-to-speech voice in multiple languages.

You can also record your own voice message of up to 15 seconds for individual cards. Hear a familiar voice tell the story behind a photo when a match is found.

Share Your Memories

Deck Builder lets you share and import personal decks with other people who have Match My Memories. Families and friends can create photo decks and share meaningful memories with one another.

Make the Game Comfortable

MMM includes adjustable settings so the game can be adapted to different players and abilities.

Customize:

• Color themes
• Light and dark themes
• Card back images
• Sound and volume
• Voice or chime feedback
• Number of cards in each game

Need a little extra help? The Peek function allows the player to temporarily look at hidden cards.

Wild Cards allow a selected personal photo to appear multiple times during a round, providing more opportunities to see and interact with a favorite or familiar photo.

Build a Routine

MMM can provide a scheduled Android notification reminding the player when it is time to play, helping players, families, and caregivers make Match My Memories part of a regular routine.
