LANCE APP
Instead of sending large XML/CoT messages over LoRa, LANCE uses compact Lite messages. Positions, markers, selected shapes, and Range-&-Bearing information are transmitted in a compact format and reconstructed on the receiving side as usable ATAK objects. This protects the radio channel and keeps the data volume manageable.

LANCE is not a standalone mapping system. It is a plugin for ATAK-CIV and requires an installed, compatible ATAK version. For radio operation, you need a
compatible Meshtastic radio. RAK4631/WisBlock devices are currently the recommended tested platform; other Meshtastic-compatible devices may work, but should be tested in your own setup before operational use.
Mesh operation runs locally through your configured radios. Everything you send by radio is transmitted to participants in the respective radio network. Range and reliability depend on the radio, firmware, antenna, terrain, power supply, regional settings, and legally usable frequencies.
LANCE is intended for users who want to add lean, controlled radio sync to ATAK: small teams, field tests, operational and outdoor scenarios, NGOs, community applications, and professional users with their own radio and ATAK experience.
