📱 TURN AN OLD PHONE INTO A CAMERA
Camera Mode can turn a spare Android phone into a local RTSP camera. When enabled, it can use the phone’s camera and microphone for video and audio streaming. Protect the stream with authentication, see connected viewers and use orientation handling, tap-to-focus, motion detection and motion zones. Battery and thermal safeguards help Camera Mode adapt when the device gets hot or power is limited.

🔐 LOCAL-FIRST SECURITY
Ciphiron Cam does not require a Ciphiron Cam account or mandatory cloud service for its core camera features. Saved camera credentials are protected using Android Keystore-backed encryption. Optional App Lock can protect access with Android biometrics or device credentials.

Use encrypted backup and restore to move supported Ciphiron Cam configuration between devices while keeping sensitive camera information protected. Automatic Android backup and device transfer of private app data are restricted so camera credentials are not silently copied through normal system backup.

Choose from multiple themes, including light and dark styles, and customize interface colors to suit your setup. The responsive layout is designed for phones, different navigation modes and larger text sizes, with persistent navigation and scroll positions.

🛡️ PRIVACY & DIAGNOSTICS
Core camera configuration and media are stored locally. Optional diagnostics such as analytics and crash reporting are controllable in the app and are designed not to include camera URLs, IP addresses, usernames, passwords, pairing secrets or recovery material. Advertising uses Google AdMob and privacy choices are provided where required.

Compatibility depends on the protocols, codecs, authentication methods and ONVIF features supported by each camera or device. Some PTZ, event, audio, stream-profile and recording capabilities may not be available on every camera.
