Dr Fishman is Director of Diagnostic Imaging and Body CT (computed tomography) at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he is Professor of Radiology, Surgery,and Oncology. Dr. Fishman’s clinical and research interests have focused on advanced medical imaging with specific emphasis on 3 dimensional (3D) imaging and CT (computed tomography). Dr. Fishman’swork in computed tomography has resulted in over 1000 peer reviewed publications, and he has been the co-author of 8 textbooks. Dr. Fishman’s research team has been one of the leading groups indeveloping new techniques and technologies, whether in visualization or post processing or in radiology education. Dr. Fishman has expertise in computer and web-based education, developing thewebsite, www.ctisus.com, which is geared toward radiology professionals and currently has over 50,000 users, as well as having run over 120 Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses. Dr. Fishman ison numerous committees including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), and the Society of Computer Cardiac Tomography (SCCT).
