● Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) atau BSD City adalah salah satu kota terencana di Indonesia yang terletak di kecamatan Serpong, Tangerang Selatan. Kota ini diresmikan pada 16 Januari 1984. BSD Citymerupakan salah satu kota satelit dari Jakarta yang pada awalnya ditujukan untuk menjadi kota mandiri, di mana semua fasilitas disediakan di kota tersebut termasuk kawasan industri, perkantoran,perdagangan, pendidikan, wisata, sekaligus perumahan. Perencananya adalah Pasific Consultant International, Japan City Planning Inc, Nihon Architect Engineer and Consultant Inc, dan Doxiadis; dandevelopernya adalah Sinarmas Land, anak perusahaan dari kelompok perusahaan konglomerat di Indonesia, Sinarmas Group, yang bekerja di bidang properti. Saat ini nama 'BSD' tidak mengacu ke sebuahsingkatan, tetapi lebih berupa kata yang berdiri sendiri. Kelompok Sinar Mas lebih mempolulerkan nama BSD City sebagai pembeda dari developer sebelumnya, dan juga menambahkan slogan "Big City. BigOpportunity" untuk mempromosikan BSD City. Pada tahun 2005 kota ini telah memiliki 100.000 penduduk.

● BSD City merupakan proyek kota terencana dengan total luas lahan terbesar di Indonesia, yaitu sebesar 6.000 hektar. Dalam total luas lahan yang maha luas ini, BSD City membagi tiga tahappembangunan dari total luas lahan yang direncanakan. Tahap awal seluas 1.300 hektar. Tahap kedua akan dikembangkan seluas 2.400 hektaree dan sisanya seluas 2.300 hektar. BSD City memiliki beberapapusat perbelanjaan seperti BSD Plaza, ITC BSD, BSD Junction, Giant Hypermarket BSD, AEON Mall dan Teraskota. Di sini juga beberapa tempat rekreasi menarik seperti OceanPark Water Adventure seluas 7,5hektaree yang merupakan salah satu Thematic Waterpark terbesar di Asia Tenggara. BSD City akan dihubungkan dengan 5 pintu tol, 2 diantaranya sudah dibuka sejak 1999.
