Tachiwin

Tachiwin is the first AI application for identifying, translating, and understanding the native languages ​​of Mexico. This preliminary version of Tachiwin is capable of identifying 50 native languages ​​of Mexico and translating from Totonac to Spanish/English and vice versa.

Tachiwin is a free, open-source project developed by indigenous communities in Mexico that aims to be the first AI that can identify, translate, and converse in all 68 native languages ​​of Mexico and all their variants. This project will help bridge the technological gap with communities that speak native languages ​​and contribute to the appreciation and promotion of these languages. This is a Mexican non-profit project governed by the ethical principles of collaboration, non-extractiveness, shared knowledge, and technological sovereignty. It operates on the basis of collaborations and donations.
