Hide Photos

Hide Photos is a local-first private photo and video vault. It helps you move selected media into an encrypted, app-protected space with PIN lock, pattern unlock, biometric unlock, optional Google Drive encrypted backup, app disguise, decoy vault, trash recovery, and privacy data controls.

Key features:

Encrypted private vault
Imported photos and videos are stored in app-private storage and encrypted before being written to disk. Hide Photos does not request broad media-library permissions. Imports use Android Photo Picker, the Android document picker, or the Android share sheet, so you choose the exact items to import.

Multiple unlock options
Protect access with PIN, pattern unlock, and system biometric authentication. You can also configure auto-lock, face-down lock, and recovery options before you forget your PIN.

Optional cloud sync
Connect Google Drive to sync encrypted vault files and encrypted vault indexes for backup and restore. Hide Photos does not create a first-party account and does not store your Google password. You can disconnect Google Drive or delete encrypted cloud backups from the Cloud Sync screen.

App disguise and decoy vault
Optional alternate launcher icons let you use Calculator or Calendar styling. A decoy vault opens with a second PIN and stays separate from your main vault. These features are optional, user-controlled, and can be turned off.

Privacy controls
Clean originals after import, strip EXIF metadata on export, review storage usage, clear preview cache, restore from trash, permanently delete media, and review how local and cloud data are handled before uninstalling.

Important notes:

- Remember your PIN and configure recovery options early.
- Use your own Google Account when enabling Drive sync.
- Deleting cloud backup does not delete local vault files.
- Uninstalling the app removes local app-private vault data.
- App disguise is an optional alternate launcher entry, not a system-management bypass.
