WachOS Hold'em: Texas Poker GAME
THE TABLE
- Your two cards sit at the bottom, the shared cards in the middle, and every rival around the rail with a stack and their last action
- The board appears only as it is dealt: flop, turn and river, with cards that fly in and flip
- Fold, check, call or raise. A slider sets any raise from the minimum to your whole stack, and nothing moves until you confirm it
- Scroll every screen with a swipe, the bezel or the crown
THE FULL RULES
A rotating dealer button and blinds, four betting rounds, all-ins, side pots and split pots, and the best five of seven cards with full kickers and ace-low straights. The blinds start at about twenty big blinds for the stake you chose and double every eight hands. At showdown every hand still in is turned face up beside its owner; folded cards stay private.
FIVE RIVALS, FOUR LEVELS
VAL, ROXY, DOC, MAE and ACE each have their own portrait and their own way of playing. Choose two to five of them, then choose how hard they play:
- Easy: looser and less careful
- Medium: each rival plays to their own personality
- Hard: reads paired boards and pressure
- Legendary: plays out 32 possible endings from the cards it cannot see before every decision
No rival ever sees your cards or the deck. Each one decides from its own two cards and what is on the table, just as you do.
YOUR CHIPS AND YOUR ENTRY
A new install starts you with 1,000 chips. Before each tournament a slider sets your entry, from 20 chips up to your whole balance; every seat starts with that same stack, and the rest of your chips stay outside the table. Leave a tournament at any time and what is left of your stack goes back to your balance.
A DAILY TRAIL
Once a day, a painted frontier map hands out free chips at the next of seven stops, from the Depot (200) to the Saloon (1,000). Come back the next day to move on; miss a day and the trail starts again from the first stop. If your balance ever runs dry, the trail is your way back to the table.
VIRTUAL CHIPS ONLY
The chips have no value outside the game. They cannot be bought, sold or cashed out, and there is nothing to buy inside the app. No ads, no account, no internet and no phone app: it runs on the watch by itself.
