The South Korean boycotts of Japanese products in 2019 was a protest against economic retaliation and trade sanctions (whitelist exclusion) by the Japanese Abe administration through unilateral export restrictions and exclusion of South Korea from the whitelist. It is the first site of the Japanese product boycott list created for the purpose of a movement to refrain from purchasing or consuming products from Japan or related companies, which started in July and is still in operation to this day.
