4 Leaf Clover : 1 in 49000

Somewhere on this planet there is a single four-leaf clover.

Everything else — tens of thousands of them — has three.

Four Leaf Clover is a hunt. You walk a small round world, kneel down into the grass, and look. The clover is not going anywhere. The only question is how long it takes you to spot it, and that number is yours to beat.

HOW IT PLAYS

• Walk. The planet turns under your feet. A full lap takes about half a minute, and the horizon curves away like a real little world.
• Kneel. Tap the eye button to drop to eye level, down among the leaves, where three and four actually look different.
• Pick. Tap a clover and your character plucks it and holds it up. Count the leaflets. Three, and it gets tossed over a shoulder. Four, and you have won.

THE RACERS

Four AI hunters search the same planet you do, and they really search — they walk, they stop and look around, they misjudge a three-leaf, they wander off to pick a flower. Nobody is handed the answer. First to the four-leaf takes the round. If you would rather have the planet to yourself, one switch in the menu turns them off.

ONE BUTTON, FIVE SWITCHES

The menu is a Play button and five settings: day and night, the four seasons, hard mode, a time limit you can set a minute at a time, and the racers. Every planet is random — a brand new world every round.

STUCK?

The Hint button narrows the search to one patch of the planet, marked with a ring on the ground. There are three hints per round and each one is tighter than the last — the smallest still holds hundreds of clover, so it points you at a neighbourhood, never at the answer. It also calls every racer over to that ring, so a hint is never free.

A round that used a hint still shows your real time, but it does not go on the leaderboard and it does not become a personal best. The clock stays honest.
