Keeping a game small after you install it
- Clear the cache monthly Settings, Apps, the game, Storage, Clear cache. This does not touch your progress.
- Turn off HD asset packs Many games offer an optional high-resolution download in their settings; on a phone screen it changes very little.
- Skip the SD card Games that stream assets load noticeably slower from an SD card than from internal storage.
- Uninstall rather than disable A disabled game keeps its data. If you are not playing it, remove it and let cloud save handle the return.
Two small games you actually open beat one large game you install once. If storage is tight, keep an arcade title and a puzzle title and delete everything else.
