HTML is the language of the internet and has been the framework for every website for decades. Used together with CSS and JavaScript, there are no limits in terms of design or functionality. Combined, these three languages represent the de facto standard for modern web development.

The Web Development - HTML, CSS, JavaScript course is aimed at ambitious beginners in web development. No prior programming or web development knowledge is required.

The course provides a solid understanding of the underlying concepts and possible applications. The key elements and properties of the languages are explained using numerous practical examples and are applied independently in exercises. Using numerous examples and instructions, interested beginners without any prior knowledge are enabled to gradually design, create, and add functionality to their own web applications.

The written exam can be taken online or at a FernUniversität Hagen campus of your choice. Upon passing the exam, you will receive a university certificate. Students can also have earned ECTS credits certified for a Certificate of Basic Studies.
