Biological Origin and Reproduction:
The Emerald Flower (Stapelia Smaragdina) is a parasitic plant. Its origins date back to the Homo Heidelbergensis period. This species uses mammals to reproduce. Its transmission strategy relies on attracting humans with its enchanting scent. When the victim smells the flower, microscopic seeds bind to the olfactory nerve, and the victim leaves the area without realizing it.

The seed penetrates the brain, feeds on glucose, and grows its roots down to the brainstem. Microscopic nanofibers seep into synaptic gaps, seizing all of the mammal's instincts. At the end of this process, which lasts approximately 2 weeks, the subject feels a need for four times more food than normal and a desire to remain naked.

Stages of Infection:
At this stage, there is no turning back. The victim must remain emotionally stable; sudden emotions such as fear or happiness activate the flower. If the victim can remain stable, the flower spreads throughout the body. However, if the flower activates before spreading, it constricts the Arteria Carotis (carotid artery), cutting off blood flow to the brain and killing the host. 3 hours after death, the flower blooms by emerging from the mouth and nose. If it cannot find a new carrier within 1 week, it dies. If a living creature approaches the corpse, the flower scatters its seeds into the air, starting the process all over again.

Should We Be Worried?
Humanity brought this nightmare under control years ago and eradicated its lineage by burning all members. Only a single seed is preserved in a high-security laboratory. Every year, we celebrate the first week of August as "Emerald Flower Awareness Week."

We are in the 5th month of the war; the government fell in the 3rd month. Soldiers are committing massacres everywhere. This is now a revenge. They threw my neighbor out of the window just because he spilled coffee on a soldier. I beat up a grocer and stole tomatoes to find food for my 2-year-old son. I got beaten, but I am trying to survive with my family.
