One by one, the characters have fallen from the shop signs. Put 日 and 月 together to make 明, then look inside 照: how many more characters can you find?

Fallen Word Lane is a puzzle game built around the shapes of Traditional Chinese characters. Explore a watercolor neighborhood, restore its signs and meet the people whose stories are waiting there. Menus, clues and stories are available in English; the puzzles themselves use Traditional Chinese characters.

BUILD, DISCOVER, THEN TRACE
Build: put character components in the right places across 48 levels in 12 chapters. Replay cleared levels for different tiles and clues.
Discover: find smaller characters hidden inside a larger one. Explore 48 large characters across 16 levels and notice structures you may have missed.
Trace: follow authentic stroke order for 60 characters, one stroke at a time. Take your time getting to know each shape.

ONE DAILY PUZZLE TO SHARE
The Daily Character gives everyone the same large character to explore each day. Share a results grid that shows how many you found without revealing the answers. Come back for yesterday's solution if one had you stumped.

MAKE A CHARACTER OF YOUR OWN
Combine components at the forge, write a clue and send the resulting riddle code to a friend. They see the clue and have to build your character. Seasonal lantern riddles also appear around the Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Qixi and Mid-Autumn Festival.

RESTORE THE SIGNS, MEET THE NEIGHBORS
A postman, a bookshop owner, a noodle-stall uncle and more return as the lane comes to life. Discover eight residents and their keepsakes, collect 18 word spirits, and follow a twelve-chapter story with hand-painted animated scenes. Revisit stories you have already seen.

A LITTLE EVERY DAY
Today's Character fills a personal thirty-day copybook, separate from the shared Daily Character puzzle. Weekly challenges and practice modes add more ways to keep track of your discoveries and the notes you leave beside them.

LANGUAGES AND PLAYING OFFLINE
Interface and content are available in Traditional Chinese, English and Japanese. Puzzle and copybook characters remain Traditional Chinese in every language. Core gameplay works offline, with no sign-up or login. Progress is saved on your device; use a transfer code to move it to another phone. There is no developer cloud account.

Includes interstitial ads and optional rewarded ads to refill ink. Loading ads requires an internet connection.
