The card game you played as a kid just walked into a smoky back-room bar. The table is sticky, the lamp flickers, and the regulars cheat, trash-talk and play for keeps. Pull up a chair.

HOW IT PLAYS
Classic Go Fish, one-on-one. Ask your opponent for a rank. If they have it, they hand over every card of that rank and you go again. If not — go fish and draw from the pond. Collect books of four. Most books when the cards run out takes the table.

PLAY FOR KEEPS
Before every hand you can put something from your junk on the line: a bent coin, a bus token, a glass eye. The house matches it with a trinket of similar rarity. Win and you take both. Lose and yours goes into the till. Or play for nothing — nobody will respect you, but it's allowed.

TEN CROOKED REGULARS
Artemis the smug pig sits down first. Win, build your reputation, and meaner faces take his chair — a stoned beaver, a corner-boy pigeon, a fox who runs the numbers, a raccoon with nine fingers, a goat from the registry office, and the cat who owns the whole room. Each one has a temper, a voice and a way of playing: some remember every card you asked for, some bluff, some just mouth off.

40 TRINKETS WORTH LOSING
Bottle caps and paper clips, brass keys and loaded dice, a gold tooth, a crystal paperweight, the don's ring. Five rarities. Collect them, stake them, lose them, win them back.

THE BAR
The barman has been wiping the same glass since lunch. The clock has been stuck since March. Live music on Thursdays was cancelled. The neon never stops buzzing. Welcome in.
