Hoshi Saga is a series of point-and-click puzzle games developed by Japanese game designer Yoshio Ishii, also known as Nekogames, starting with its first release in 2007. The name "Hoshi Saga," meaning "Star Search" in Japanese, reflects the core objective: players must find a hidden star in each stage. The original game features 36 stages arranged in a 6x6 grid, with 25 stages freely accessible and 11 unlockable by completing specific rows and columns. Each stage presents a unique challenge, ranging from simple tasks to complex puzzles, requiring players to interact with the environment using mouse clicks or, in later versions, arrow keys.
