Ituze: Vertigo Relief APP

When the room spins for a few seconds as you lie down, roll over in bed or look up, the cause is often loose crystals in one inner ear. A short sequence of head positions, the Epley moves, can roll them back out. Doing it alone is hard: you need to know which ear it is, and you have to hold your head at the right angles while the room is spinning.

Ituze guides you through both, with the phone resting on your forehead and a calm voice telling you every step, so you can keep your eyes closed.

SAFETY FIRST
A short safety check comes before anything else. Signs that need emergency help, like new weakness on one side or trouble speaking, send you straight to a call button. Dizziness of a different kind, or a body that should not do these moves, is sent to a doctor instead. Before each day's first session, the warning signs are checked again.

FIND WHICH EAR
Sitting on your bed, you turn your head, lie back and hold still while the phone measures the angle of your head to gravity. Then you answer one question with the volume buttons: did the room spin? The app tests the right ear, then the left, and tells you which one it points to. If both sides or neither side bring it on, it does not guess: it asks you to try again the next morning and, after a second time, to see a doctor.

GUIDED MOVES
For the ear the test found, Ituze guides the four positions of the Epley moves, up to three rounds. It says "a little more to the right" or "lift your head a little" until your head is in the right place, and counts each position only while your head is truly there and still. If you are still dizzy, one press of volume up holds the position longer.

A PHONE ON A MOVING HEAD
Before each round the app checks how the phone sits on your head. If the phone slips, falls or is put down, it notices, pauses and starts that round again. If the app is closed in the middle, nothing is counted that was not held.

EACH MORNING
The morning after a session day, a quick check on the treated side shows whether it has settled. Up to three sessions a day, at least three hours apart, until it settles. If it has not settled after a week, the app asks you to see a doctor.

A PAGE FOR YOUR DOCTOR
Your answers, tests, sessions and morning checks are kept on your phone as a one-page record you can show a doctor, share as a PDF or print.

MADE FOR EVERYONE
Large text and buttons, a voice for every step, answers by volume buttons, and room for a helper who reads the screen or holds the phone. Light and dark themes.

GOOD TO KNOW
Ituze is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Ituze follows the published guideline for this kind of dizziness, but it is not a substitute for a doctor's examination and gives no advice about medicines. Have someone with you if you have fallen before. If any warning sign appears, call for emergency help.
