Kobongisa: Wheelchair Layout APP
Kobongisa turns measurements you enter into a room plan. Record the furniture you need to keep, describe the occupied wheelchair envelope, and explore routes between chosen positions.
MEASURE YOUR SPACE
Enter rectangular rooms, clear openings, hinged-door positions and furniture dimensions in centimetres. Include the person, feet, handles and carried items in the wheelchair measurements. Add clearance and measurement uncertainty. Work with up to 8 rooms, 40 furniture pieces, 24 openings and 4 journeys per folio.
EXPLORE FURNITURE POSITIONS
Choose exactly which pieces may move or turn. Arrangement proposals retain every piece and keep fixed furniture in place. Compare the proposal with your measured layout before applying it, and undo the arrangement if you change your mind. The bounded search tries fewer moved pieces first; it does not promise a globally optimal layout.
TRACE A JOURNEY
Set the starting and finishing axle positions and facing directions. The planner checks the occupied envelope through translation and turning, including the clearance and uncertainty you entered. Review a found route one pose at a time. No route found means the search did not find one among its tested movements, not that a route is impossible.
KEEP YOUR FOLIOS
Save measured plans on your device. Export a JSON copy for backup or transfer and import it as a separate folio. Export a PDF with the measured layout, proposal and inventory. Optional app lock offers a separate App PIN and fingerprint or face unlock.
UNDERSTAND THE LIMITS
Kobongisa provides geometric layout estimates, not a safety or accessibility certificate. It does not measure from photographs or assess slopes, steps, thresholds, floor surfaces, transfers, door operation, unseen obstacles or a person's maneuvering abilities. Check the real space and obtain appropriate professional advice before moving furniture or trying a route. The PDF is an overview, not a construction drawing.
