MapTap is a daily geography game. Every day you get five places tied to real events from that exact date, and the game is to find each one on a 3D globe. Tap where you think it is. The closer you land, the higher you score. Then you read what actually happened there: a shipwreck, an invention that failed twice before it worked, a border that moved overnight, someone nobody has heard of who changed something you use every day.

It takes about 2 minutes to play. Tomorrow there are five more, and five more the day after that. Keep a streak alive, see how your score sits against everyone else who played that day, or just against players near you. When 2 minutes is not enough, there is a lot more globe. Practice maps run from plain drills to journeys you retrace one stop at a time: Magellan's expedition, Darwin's voyage on the Beagle, Nellie Bly's race around the world, Ibn Battuta's travels. Find the Flag is a daily of its own. Gauntlet is a timed run at a set of locations everybody gets on the same day. Frontier is a survival run where one bad guess ends it. Versus puts you head to head with another player over five locations, with a rating that follows you around. Flashcards drill a map until it sticks.

There are hundreds of achievements to discover. You can build maps for other players, and play other players' maps!
