Following the demise of Analog film, we have seen the rise of digital filmmaking, which has made filmmaking easier than it used to be. This has led to the rise of independent filmmakers. Short/feature filmmakers have always had different social media sites to showcase their works for free. But, this comes with a price. Most of the audience are unpaid viewers, which results in menial revenue for the filmmakers. This has only helped the social media organisations by increasing the number of content in their site whereas the filmmakers barring exposure get little to no revenue for their work. This is discouraging for any enthusiastic mind. As a result of which new talent disappears into the background.

To enlighten this new talent, Impression has created Mini Movies. In Mini Movies, you have to pay a nominal fee to watch a short/feature film, the majority of which will be handed over to the filmmaker. This allows filmmakers to receive an approximately correct revenue for their film and encourages them to work on more. As film lovers and producers, we are giving this chance to interested and talented filmmakers around the world. Everybody’s films would be valued on their presentation and technicality. Due to localisation, the majority of our films will be Indian when we start but we have plans to extend our production reach in the coming years to other countries.

We believe that even subscribers would also get a good running site with an excellent library in the future which would justify their subscriptions. This movement is not only about entertainment but also about creating a platform to bring forward all the new talented filmmakers around us.
