Fall asleep to a podcast, audiobook or music, and wake up knowing exactly where you left off.

SleepToPause Companion is the phone and tablet half of SleepToPause. Your watch notices when you have fallen asleep. This app pauses whatever is playing.

YOU ALSO NEED THE WATCH APP
This app works together with the free SleepToPause app for Wear OS watches. Install SleepToPause on your watch from Google Play. Your watch and this device must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

HOW IT WORKS
• Your watch gives a gentle buzz every few minutes. You choose how often, from 3 to 15 minutes.
• Move your wrist within 5 seconds and you carry on listening.
• If you do not move, it waits 60 seconds and buzzes one last time.
• Still no movement? Your audio pauses, right where you left off.

WHAT IS FREE AND WHAT IS PAID
• Free, always: pausing and resuming your audio by hand, from your watch or from this app.
• One-time purchase: your watch pausing your audio automatically when you fall asleep.

There is no subscription. You pay once, and it covers every watch you pair with this device. The free controls let you check that your watch connects and that your audio app can be paused before you pay.

WORKS WITH YOUR AUDIO APPS
SleepToPause pauses apps that use standard Android media controls, the same controls you see on your lock screen. This covers most podcast, audiobook and music apps. It asks the app to pause, so your place is kept and your volume is not changed.

SETTING UP
1. Install SleepToPause on your Wear OS watch.
2. Open this app and allow the permissions it asks for.
3. On the watch, tap Pair a device. It shows a 6-digit code.
4. Type that code into this app.

WHY IT ASKS FOR NOTIFICATION ACCESS
Android only lets an app with notification access see and control what other apps are playing. SleepToPause uses it for that alone. It never reads your notifications.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account and no sign-up.
• No health data. No heart rate.
• Nothing is sent to the internet. Your watch talks only to this device, over your home Wi-Fi.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Requires Android 8.0 or later.
• Keeps working with the screen off. It shows one small, silent notification while it waits for your watch.
• SleepToPause is not a sleep tracker or a medical device.
