Most speedometer apps watch you back. Speedora doesn't. We collect zero analytics. There's no Firebase, no Crashlytics, no Sentry, no telemetry beyond the ads required to keep the app free. Your trip history stays on your device unless you choose to export it.

🚦 Built for safety

The speed alert uses real hysteresis to avoid the flicker problem of cheap competitors. The trip recorder runs as a proper Android 14+ foreground service with the FOREGROUND_SERVICE_TYPE_LOCATION flag — it survives screen-off but never runs in the background without your consent.

🔑 Permissions

• Location — required for GPS speed readings. Background location is requested only if you want trips to record when the screen turns off.
• Notifications (Android 13+) — required to show the "Trip in progress" notification so the OS keeps the recording service alive. We explain why before asking.
• Internet — used to fetch map tiles when you open the map view, and to serve ads. The speedometer, odometer, and trip recorder all work without internet.

We do not request: contacts, microphone, camera, SMS, or call logs.
