Each level gives you a Chinese character. Hidden within its strokes are other characters.

Tap those strokes, press "This is a character," and you've found it.

The character "动" (dòng) hides "申" (shēn) – the frame of "田" (tián) plus the vertical stroke running through it; keep searching, and you'll find "里" (lǐ), "重" (zhòng), and "力" (lì).

The same stroke can be reused in multiple answers, so one character can often reveal seven or eight other characters.

Find all the main characters to pass the level; there are also hidden characters that don't block your path, finding them all is the key to a perfect level.

■ 511 Commonly Used Characters The characters in each level are taken from the Big5 Level 1 commonly used characters, arranged from highest to lowest frequency – all characters you see every day. The more common the character, the easier it is to miss what's hidden within it.

■ Clear Visibility Font size and contrast are adjusted for experienced users and scale with the system font size. Found strokes can be highlighted in green or turned off to keep the screen clean.

■ Playable Offline The question bank is packaged within the app, so you can play even without an internet connection.

■ Absolutely No Ads No banners, no interstitials, and no "watch videos for rewards" pop-ups—your screen won't be blocked halfway through the game.

■ Hints for Levels You're Stuck With "Show a Stroke" will point out one of the strokes in an answer, and "Just Tell Me" will reveal the answer directly.

■ One-Time Purchase, Not a Subscription The first 20 levels are free to play. Purchase "Part 1: Common Characters 511 Levels" to unlock all levels, and there will be no limit to the number of hints. It's a one-time purchase, not a monthly charge; if you switch phones or reinstall, simply press "Restore Purchase."

■ Report Any Questions About the Answers The answers are automatically generated by the program from character shape data, so there will inevitably be inaccuracies. Each level has a report button in the upper right corner. If you find a character that you "clearly know but it doesn't count" or "counted but can't see," press it to let us know. Every report you make helps us reduce the number of errors.

■ Leaderboard (Optional) Want to compare your score with others? You can upload your total score in the settings. The leaderboard is available on the website. Not uploading will not affect your gameplay at all.
