A Skillful Driver

A Skillful Driver is an Ohio DPS licensed driving school (License No. 4621). Complete your state-required driver education entirely from your phone — no classroom, no fixed schedule.

CHOOSE THE COURSE THAT FITS YOU

• Teen Driver Education — 24 hours, 180-day access
The state-required classroom portion for teens getting their first Ohio license. A parent or guardian enrolls alongside you.

• Limited Term — 24 hours, 180-day access
For applicants completing Ohio's limited-term license requirements before their permit expires.

LEARN THE WAY YOU WANT

• Work through short, focused lessons organized into chapters
• Listen instead of read — every lesson includes audio narration
• Pick up exactly where you left off, on any device
• Check your understanding with a quiz after each chapter
• Light and dark themes for comfortable reading day or night
• Available in English, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese

BUILT AROUND OHIO'S REQUIREMENTS

Your progress is tracked against state instruction-time rules automatically, so you always know how much of your course is complete and how much is left. Upload your temporary instruction permit and our team verifies it against your enrollment details before you sit the final exam.

YOUR CERTIFICATE, HANDLED FOR YOU

Once you pass the final exam, our processing team submits your completion, obtains your certificate, and uploads it straight to your dashboard. Download it any time and present it at an Ohio BMV location when you apply for your license.

REAL SUPPORT WHEN YOU NEED IT

Live chat, email, and phone support from real people — not a bot. Help articles are a tap away from any screen.
