Accessibility Service (AccessibilityService API)
AwraAI uses Android's AccessibilityService API for one feature: letting the floating mic insert your dictated text directly into the text field you are typing in inside another app.
- What it accesses: only when you insert a transcript, AwraAI reads the text field that currently has focus, including the text already in it, so it can add your words at the cursor.
- What it does not do: it does not read other content on your screen, does not monitor your activity in the background, does not change your settings or control other apps, and does not collect, store or share any content from other apps.
- Your choice: this permission is optional and off by default. AwraAI shows an in-app explanation and asks for your consent before you turn it on in Android Settings, and you can turn it off at any time. Without it, the floating mic still works and shows your text to copy and paste.
AwraAI is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities; it uses this API only for the insert-into-field feature described above.
