Basketball Board: Tactics

A basketball tactics board for coaches, players and parents. Move the players with your finger, draw cuts, passes and screens, and show the play in motion.

Every feature is free. No sign-up, no limit on saved plays, and video export isn't locked behind a purchase.

■ Move players, draw lines
Drag a player to move it. Tap and hold a player to set the number, name and team.
Pick the pen to draw lines with the usual symbols: solid for a cut, wavy for a dribble, dashed for a pass, and a line ending in a bar for a screen. Eight colors. The eraser removes lines and players alike, and undo brings anything back.

■ Show the play in motion
Record while you drag the players, or build it up frame by frame. Play it back at 0.5x to 2x so everyone can follow each cut and screen.

■ A real basketball court
The court follows the official rules: the restricted area, the 3-point line, the free-throw semicircle and the no-charge semicircle. Full court, half court, a 3x3 court, or a blank floor for drills.

■ Offense sets and zone defenses
Your team lines up in 1-2-2, 1-3-1, 1-4 or 2-2-1, and the opponents in a 2-3, 3-2, 1-3-1 or 1-2-2 zone, in one tap. 3x3 formations too. Set the size of your team, the opponents and the bibs with plus and minus buttons.

■ Cones, poles and ladders
Lay out training drills as well as game plays.

■ Share as an image or a video
Send the board to your team chat as a picture, or as a video of the play.

■ Save as many plays as you like
The board you are working on is saved automatically. Back up all your plays to a file and take them to a new phone.

■ Portrait and landscape
Turn the phone sideways to show the board on a TV or projector.
