Hake’s Auctions APP
Hake’s entered a new era in 2004 when founder Ted Hake sold the company to Steve Geppi, whom Ted knew and trusted to be the next steward of a revered auction house. Steve’s dedication to collecting and pop culture history have given him invaluable insight into what is required of the Owner and CEO of Hake’s Auctions.
The Hake’s staff are also instrumental in the success of Hake’s, contributing to every step of the auction process, from arranging consignments, handling inventory, researching and cataloging, photography and catalog design to packing and shipping, Hake’s has had a number of dedicated staff over the years. Former President Alex Winter has retired after 40 years, leaving the reins the capable hands of Kelly McClain, who himself has 20+ years with Hake’s. “Collect what you love” isn’t just a saying, it’s who we are.
Since that first mailed sales list in 1967, Hake’s has sold over one million vintage collectibles, some the only examples known and many for the first time ever, all the while setting new world records for prices in an ever-expanding range of collecting specialties.
Hake’s footprint in the collectibles business is a massive one, spanning seven decades, and setting the gold standard for the many collectibles auction houses that have come and gone during the ensuing decades. Our attention to detail, extensive research and targeted reach to collectors are keys to our succeeding in any new venture we undertake. Our commitment to respecting our customers and being worthy of their trust are values we cherish. We sincerely hope the experience of dealing with Hake’s, as a buyer or a consignor, for either decades or beginning with our newest auctions, has been and will continue to be positive for everyone. We promise our passion and pledge our trustworthiness. That's what sets us apart as we share the fun of collecting with all of you.
