Maps for Research facilitates the consultation and visualization of Brazilian census sectors directly on the map.

Enter the 15-digit geocode to locate a sector, view its geographic boundaries, and consult relevant information for research and fieldwork.

• Census tract lookup from the 2010 and 2022 data sets

• View tract boundaries on the map

• Switching between conventional map and satellite imagery

• Split-screen Street View, when coverage is available

• Identification of the tract and information of the selected location

• Lookup by state, municipality, neighborhood, district, and subdistrict, when available

• Automatic saving of searched tracts for later access

• Personalized and persistent marker for points of interest

• Individual deletion or clearing of saved tracts

• Simple, modern interface in Portuguese

The consulted tracts remain stored on the device, allowing them to be viewed again without the need to repeat the search.

The application is a support tool for researchers, census takers, field teams, students, and professionals who work with territorial information and census tracts.
