Your jump drive winds down at the ragged edge of friendly space. Sealed in your hold are the plans for the enemy's dreadnought, and a pursuit fleet is one jump behind you. The last loyal fleet is holding eight sectors away. Get there.

Mawbreaker is a single-player spaceship roguelike. You command one small ship and its crew across a galaxy at war, beacon by beacon, making hard choices with too little fuel, too few missiles and never enough scrap. Every run is a new map, a new set of encounters and a new way to die. Learn from it, unlock new ships, and try again.

COMMAND THE WHOLE SHIP
Combat runs in real time, and you can pause at any moment to think. Route reactor power between shields, engines, weapons, oxygen, the medbay and more. Time your volleys to break enemy shields, then pick which enemy system to cripple. Send crew to put out fires, seal hull breaches, repair damaged systems, or teleport across to fight on the enemy's deck.

A CREW WORTH SAVING
Recruit crew from eight species, each with its own strengths: tireless repairers, fireproof stone pilgrims, telepaths who can read an enemy's intentions, metal-eaters who need no air. Crew gain skill as they work their stations. Lose them and you feel it.

More than 700 story events: distress calls, pirate tolls, duels, smugglers, quarantine zones, strange derelicts and stranger passengers. The right crew member or ship system opens new options. The wrong gamble costs you the run.

A second, darker campaign. Months after the war, something is travelling along the beacon network, and whole crews are going quiet. Cross ten new sectors toward the source, send away teams into derelict stations and silent ships, and face a horror that was old before the first beacon was lit. Board the dead ships. Break the Maw.

A VOICE IN THE DARK
A narrator reads the story aloud: sector arrivals, quests, away-team briefings, terminal logs and the endings, more than 400 lines in all. English narration is built in. Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Russian narration are each a free, optional download from Google Play inside the game (Options). On the title screen, a radio drama (in English) tells the legend of the Maw, and the regulars at the dockside canteen have plenty to say about how your last voyage went.

Designed for touch in landscape, with support for mouse and keyboard. Three difficulty levels, in-game tips that teach as you play, and runs that autosave between encounters.
