Message Reader - Read Aloud

Message Reader reads your chat messages out loud, so you can keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

It works with the chat apps you already use: WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Telegram, Facebook Messenger and SMS. When a new message arrives, your phone's own voice reads it aloud — who sent it and what they said — and you reply later, when it is safe.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Install and open Message Reader.
2. Allow notification access — that is what lets the app see incoming messages.
3. Turn the reader ON. From then on, new messages are read aloud.

- Pick the language, and set the volume and the speech rate as you like.
- Keeps working in the background, with the screen off.

BUILT FOR THE CAR Message Reader was designed for driving. With a car kit or a Bluetooth speaker, the app detects the connection and starts reading. When you want silence, shake the phone and it stops.

LANGUAGES AND VOICES The app uses your phone's text-to-speech engine. Inside Message Reader you choose the language; the voice itself is the one your phone provides. To change or add voices, install them in Settings > Text-to-speech output, and pick the language here.

PRIVACY No account, no sign-up. Messages are read on your device by your phone's own voice engine. The app is free and shows ads; Premium (in-app purchase) removes the ads.

QUESTIONS
- Nothing is read aloud: check that notification access is allowed and the switch is ON.
- Still not speaking: make sure Google's text-to-speech voice package is installed for your language.
- Stops after a while: on some phones you need to turn off battery optimisation for the app to keep reading in the background.
