Metal Hen

Metal Hen is a conceptual vertical shooter set in a dark industrial atmosphere. The experience follows a biomechanical black hen navigating through the interior of a massive skyscraper against the backdrop of a vast night sky. The core gameplay focuses on upward flight and high-stakes aerial combat against a persistent wave of mechanical drones. The player is responsible for horizontal maneuvering, guiding the character left and right to line up shots while the biomechanical protagonist fires at regular intervals to clear the path ahead.

The tactical challenge of Metal Hen is defined by its strict damage system. Precision and vigilance are essential, as threats come in multiple forms. A life is lost if a drone manages to strike the player directly or if the player is hit by an enemy projectile. Furthermore, the defensive perimeter is critical; if an enemy drone manages to bypass the player and reach the bottom edge of the screen, the player receives a damage point. With a total of 3 lives represented by heart icons, the player must maintain constant focus to avoid a terminal result.

The game is designed as an endless survival experience where the difficulty lies in consistency and reaction speed. Every drone features a single durability point, allowing it to be neutralized with a single accurate shot. To ensure the integrity of the player's progress, Metal Hen automatically saves the high score whenever the session is interrupted, whether by returning to the main menu or closing the application entirely. Additionally, a built-in auto-pause system triggers a pause window if the user switches to another app or minimizes the game. To resume the flight, the player must manually dismiss the pause menu, ensuring total control over the biomechanical mission at all times.
