Muntazir: Quran & Shia Duas APP

Muntazir is a Shia daily companion: duas and ziarats, the Quran, prayer times, the Qibla, the Islamic calendar and a tasbih — all working without an internet connection, plus a hadith library when you are online.

WORKS OFFLINE
The Quran and the whole dua library are built into the app. There is nothing to download on first launch, and the reading, prayer times and Qibla keep working when you lose signal.

DUAS AND ZIARATS
138 supplications and visitations with Arabic, transliteration and translation. Recitation is timed to each verse, so the text follows along as you listen.

THE QURAN
All 6,236 verses in Arabic with translation. Search, bookmark, and pick up where you left off. Recitation streams when you are online.

PRAYER TIMES
Worked out on your phone from your location, with the calculation method in your hands. Reminders are scheduled by your phone — no notification is ever sent from a server.

THE QIBLA
A live compass pointing to the Kaaba from wherever you are, with the bearing in degrees for when you would rather check it yourself.

HADITH
18,335 narrations from Al-Kafi, plus a selected forty with English translation. Searchable in Arabic, with or without diacritics. This library loads over the internet.

CALENDAR, AAMAL AND TASBIH
The Islamic calendar with the events of each month, the aamal for the day, and a tasbih that keeps its count between sessions.

PRIVACY
Muntazir contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking of any kind. Your location is used on your phone to work out prayer times and the Qibla, and is never sent to our servers. We do not record what you read.

An account is entirely optional and does exactly one thing: it carries your favourites, bookmarks and notes to a new phone. You can delete it, and everything stored with it, from inside the app at any time.

WITH THANKS TO
The Arabic texts come from Arabic Wikisource under CC BY-SA 4.0, and some transliterations from thaqalayn.net. Attribution is a condition of those licences, not a courtesy.
