NAMASTE Scheme

The Waste Pickers Survey App, developed by the Urban Management Centre under the NAMASTE project, is a dedicated tool for identifying and managing data on waste pickers across India. This app is designed as a digital tool to enumerate and validate waste pickers across India to provide recognition through ID card and social welfare benefits.
By connecting waste pickers to social security programs, the app strengthens the NAMASTE Scheme’s mission of providing comprehensive support to waste pickers. The Waste Pickers Survey App is implemented under the NAMASTE Scheme by the National Safai Karamcharis Finance & Development Corporation (NSKFDC). By capturing personal and family data, the app supports the provision of entitlements and connects waste pickers with scheme benefits of NAMASTE and relevant government schemes, promoting safe working conditions and the dignity of waste pickers.
