Retro VoidPool game GAME

1. Game Objective
A glowing cyan horizontal strip will appear at one end of the pool; this is the "target wall" for this round.

Touching it completes one round, and the target wall immediately moves to the other end of the pool.

* Complete 10 rounds (LAP 10/10) to escape this pool and enter the next pool (POOL 2).

* The pool rules will change after each round, and a prompt will appear in the center of the screen.

2. Basic Controls
This is a turn-based game: when you move one space, all the ghosts in the pool also move one space simultaneously.

Therefore, their routes can be predicted.

Swipe up, down, left, or right (anywhere on the screen) to swim one space. This is the main control scheme:

Clicking an adjacent square is equivalent to sliding one square in that direction.

Directional keys / WASD work the same way (physical keyboard).

Bottom left SPRINT button: Press once to enter "Prepared Sprint," the button will display "SPRINT ARMED."

The next slide will move you 2 squares, consuming 3 stamina points.

Keyboard: Shift or Space

Bottom right EXIT button: Exit the current round; it will ask for YES/NO first.

Top right musical note icon: Toggle sound.

Back button: Return to the home screen (close the confirmation window if one appears).

Death/Level completion screen: Tap anywhere on the screen to continue.

Tap BACK TO MENU: Return to the home screen.

3. Three numerical values:

O2 (blue bar): Oxygen. 1 point is deducted for each square swam; reaching zero results in drowning.

Hitting the target wall replenishes oxygen.

STAMINA (green bar): Stamina. Only consumed during sprints; 1 point is automatically replenished every 3 rounds.

SANITY (top left): A sanity stat, equivalent to lives, with 3 bars.

Each death deducts one bar; the pool restarts but the score is retained.

Reaching zero ends the match.

4. Supplies (floating on the water; swim over to collect them)

White Float Board: A shield that blocks one ghost contact and pushes the ghost away.

Orange-framed Goggles: Allows you to see ghosts within 2 tiles of fog for 18 turns.

Air Pocket: Oxygen +10

5. Obstacle: Whirlpool
A whirlpool is stationary and "cannot be obscured by fog"—it tears through the water, making it visible from anywhere in the pool.

* Entering its 2-tile radius will drag you closer by 1 tile each turn.

* Being dragged into the center of a whirlpool: Deducts 8 oxygen and throws you to another location in the pool, ending your combo.

* If your oxygen reaches zero, you will drown.

Vortexes will not generate near the target wall or next to your starting point.

— How to escape a vortex

Drag only resolves after you finish moving, so whether you can escape depends on this turn.

Can you move 2 blocks at once:

At 2 blocks, slide once in the opposite direction to escape (you'll move 3 blocks afterward and won't be dragged).

At 1 block, normal movement will only take you 2 blocks, then you'll be dragged back 1 block → a tug-of-war in place.

You must use a SPRINT (swim 2 blocks at a time) to pull yourself to 3 blocks in one go.

So, when you're sucked down to 1 block, press the bottom left SPRINT button and slide in the opposite direction.

When your stamina is low, you'll recover 1 point every 3 turns. Reaching 3 points allows you to sprint away.

—However, each turn of the tug-of-war consumes 1 point of oxygen, so keep an eye on your oxygen bar.

6. Three Types of Ghosts (with fixed trajectories, predictable)

Water Ghost: A small, milky-white sprite-like creature. Moves only in a straight line, turning back upon hitting a wall.

The Drowned: Grayish-white and bloated, face up. Moves in an L-shape: two squares in the same direction, then one square in the opposite direction.

The Cursed Swimmer: Wears a red swimming cap. Moves back and forth in its own lane, switching lanes upon hitting a wall.

Instant death upon contact. If a floating shield is present, it negates one hit and pushes the ghost away.
