Steady Pouch - SOYOGI APP
This app does not replace medical care or a police search. If there is danger, call 110 (police) or 119 (ambulance) in Japan.
■Photo of today
Before going out, take one full-body photo of your family member. If you get separated, "Search" shows it right away. When you are back home, "Back home" deletes it (after asking you to confirm). If the photo is from an earlier day, the app reminds you to take a new one.
■Search
If you get separated, the photo of today, their usual description, how to approach them and the emergency contact come together on one screen that you can show to store staff, security guards or the police. The emergency contact gets a call button.
Two sets of steps, "Daytime: separated in a store or facility" and "Night: they left the house", are shown one step per screen, with a button to call 110 (police). The steps are a general guide; decide according to the situation on the spot. For missing person reports, there are links to the national rules and to a list of prefectural police websites (external sites, in Japanese).
■Food
Keep a list of store-bought foods they can surely eat, with a photo, product name, maker, where to buy it, and conditions (temperature, dish, how to eat). At a care place or a shelter, "Show" puts it all on one screen. Allergies are not kept here; the app points you to "MOSHIMO Card - SOYOGI", another app in the same series.
■Signs
Record what a gesture, an object they bring, or a sound means, and the responses that have worked so far, with a photo if you like (a photo is optional). "Show" lets someone meeting them for the first time see it on one screen.
■Calm
Register photos and sounds your family member likes (an audio file on your device, up to 2 MB), and show one full-screen with a tap. The sound plays on repeat until you tap "Close".
■For support workers
If you are a support worker accompanying someone, please use a device from your organization, so that photos are not left on a personal phone.
■About this app
One of the free welfare apps from SOYOGI, a care and support consultation service in Japan. Fully offline, anonymous, no ads, no sign-up. Photos, sounds, what you write and your settings are stored only on your device and are never sent anywhere.
This app is not a substitute for medical care. In an emergency, call your local emergency number or contact a local support service.
